I've done quite a few bd and dvd remuxs using japanese sources but it's really quite a niche hobby unless you have large amounts of disposable cash (which I sure as shit don't) as jpbds are so damn expensive. So it's used sets for me and even then-expensive!

Yeah It's definitely not a cheap hobby. You can find pretty good deals on used sets on mecari japan it's were I get my used sets from you have to use a proxy shipping service to order from there though.

So far I've gotten my used stuff from Suruga as they usually have really good prices and a lot of the time have "free shipping"-of course it isn't really free but it's far cheaper than most other places.
