The JPBD for this one is [atrocious](https://bsky.app/profile/crashoveride.bsky.social/post/3ms3vft773k2t) and while the JPDVD fares better it has awful color and would need encoding to look the best it could. Geneon's original USDVD is a localized version of the JPDVD master, and Discotek's USDVD was a downscale of the JPBD. The less I say about the ITBD, the better. For this Blu-ray, Discotek Media opted to once again downscale and clean up the Japanese Blu-ray. The end result isn't great by any means, but it gets the job done and the SD downscale obfuscates the HD "remaster's" biggest faults. Unlike the Discotek USDVD, the Blu-ray doesn't suffer from MPEG-2 compression, so for now this will remain the best release of this show. Obviously this is a remux, but I specify this because I'm sure some are confused as to why this is 480p when a "1080p" "source" "exists." Discotek's audio is the best source even though it is unfortunately lossy AC3. They remixed the dub to fix some of the previous audio issues with it, albeit I couldn't really tell you what. Overall, a fine presentation, albeit some episodes still lack possibly better audio that could be found on the Japanese LaserDiscs. Subtitles are up to Discotek's usual quality standards in beautiful PGS. Perhaps in the future if I do a more in-depth release of this series, I would consider doing a stylized typeset, but for now I value my freetime, so... have at you.
